BIO: Bill is Founder and Managing Partner of Pine Cone Capital. He brings a wealth of security analysis and portfolio management experience to the company. He has an interest in behavioral finance and removing emotion from the investment process. With a BS and MS in Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy, West Point and Stanford University, respectively, Bill has an analytical approach to security selection. He has an MBA in Finance from the University of Colorado at Denver, is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder, and holds the CFP designation. Bill has been a financial advisor with American Express and New England Financial and is an Adjunct Professor with the College for Financial Planning, teaching on line courses in equity and debt valuation and advanced portfolio management. He has worked in numerous management roles for major medical device companies such as Medtronic, Ohmeda, and COBE Laboratories and consults on occasion with medical device startups and other privately held companies.
